Hi dear users of the whitson⁺ external API,

We will make several updates to the External API endpoints which we will roll out by 21st of August 2025. Most of the changes are backward compatible with the current version, but some endpoints have breaking changes. From the usage of the endpoints, we don't expect it to be breaking any workflows. Action may required depending on your existing integration.

Below is the summary of the breaking changes. For the complete list of changes, please refer to this document: Change Logs v3.3.0.pdf

1. GET /api-external/v1/auto_forecasts/{auto_forecast_id}
   • Added enum values to the partial_fit_type field in the auto_forecast_bounds response key
2. PATCH /api-external/v1/wells/dca
   • Import_numerical forecast field is now nullable In the response
3. PATCH /api-external/v1/wells/dca_saved_cases
   • Import_numerical forecast field is now nullable In the response
4. GET /api-external/v1/wells/{well_id}/well_dca/saved_cases
   • Import_numerical forecast field is now nullable In the response
